Team Building Amadria

Hello, Adventurers!
(and those aspiring to become one)

After a successful summer filled with numerous tours and many satisfied clients, we took a well-deserved break and are now diligently preparing for the upcoming season of adventures and historical tours.

However, surprises and good opportunities do arise, and a mild winter allowed us to organize an unexpected tour in February that was not only fun and successful but also led to a new collaboration!

In March, we organized a one-day team-building event for the sales and marketing team from Amadria Park in Opatija. For the director and her team of eight, we specially combined two of our tours: WW2 and Underground and Abseiling in the Tunnel. The weather was kind to us, although we were prepared for rain (as any true Adventurer would be). We started with a military-history tour of the underground fortifications, led by our history expert, Prof. Josip Naglić, assisted by Adventurer guide Marko Krpešić. This tour ends at Rujevica, where our abseiling tour begins. There, the team was greeted by Adventurer guide David Kalaba, who, together with Marko, prepared the team for a vertical descent down a rope into an unfinished underground fortification. This descent can be done in two lines: the beginner and the adventurous. The team split evenly, with four opting for the beginner’s descent and four for the adventurous one. It’s important to note that only one team member had prior climbing experience, while the rest were trying the technique for the first time (so congratulations, team!).

After the first descent and special effects in the horizontal part of the fortification, the atmosphere was so good and relaxed that selfies were taken during the second, cascading descent! Naturally, we ended the tour with a challenge – finding the exit from the fortification in complete darkness. At the exit, we were met by a van that took us back to the entrance of the fortification, which we entered this time through the “normal,” horizontal entrance. The team deserved to congratulate themselves on a successful day, so we did just that with a glass of wine and some snacks. There were more surprises at this point, but we won’t reveal everything.
